prologue


I started this blog six years ago, after the first time I got whacked from a teaching job.  White Hill Middle School, in the allegedly progressive wilderness outpost of Fairfax, California in the County Marin.  I've been whacked pretty much everywhere else I've taught in California.  I don't claim to be be best middle school humanities teacher, but my kids loved coming to school and the projects they worked on with me.  It's the grown-ups I can't stand.  Administrators, in particular.
